Here's to the sad ones
Here's to the sad ones
who spend their nights staring
at slits dripping red
in parallel lines running up arms and stomach.
Here's to the mad ones
whose knuckles bloodied and black
twitch uncontrollably
at the smallest of things.
Here's to the lonely ones
who watch from a distance
as others move on
happier than ever with who they've become.
Here's to the gone ones
whose lives drove them away
from the happier things, the happier days
toward the dark corners of eternal sleep.

Trapped on a babysitting job on a thursday evening
9:42 PM, on a thursday.
Slouched, lonely, beneath a single incandescent bulb
filtered through a stained-glass bowl of the color of sunset
Tapping away quietly at a standard-issue school laptop keyboard
waiting, wondering, calling out
sighing in an interwoven web of conflict and discontent
wishing for a tiny drop of inspiration to fall from the sky
like the ever-imminent rain
why doesn't happiness work like that?

Don't be scared, darling.
We're going to try something new
Eating our meals, and swallowing each bite,
Not hiding the chewed up remains under our tongue,
And not making ourselves vomit through the night.
We're going to try something new,
Bringing the liquor down from our lips,
Not turning to the alcohol for comfort,
Until the addiction rips.
We're going to try something new,
Throwing away the needles, the pins, and the blades
Not searching underneath our skin for emotion,
Watching the wounds and the scars fade.
We're going to try something new,
Darling, I challenge you, I dare you.
We're going to try something new...
Darling,
Why does that scare you?
I'm doing a 100-art-themes thing... look in my favorites for the list, if you want to join in :) Starting this Saturday, for the next 100 days. Its going to be A LOT OF WORK TO GET ALL OF IT DONE on top of school and everything else... but hey, I'm just gonna go for it, and see what happens XD
Hello everyone. I'm not gonna start off on here badly, so. Hai. Not much good going on right now.
But in intro: I am Mady. I'm an art nerd (as im sure most people are, in this particular corner of the internet)
I go to a special school for other nerds XD but its very left-brained-oriented, so sometimes I feel a little out of place.
Oh well, I've got bigger fish to fry. I'm left handed but right brained, and i stress-art a lot which is a party (and also why i'm good at it)
Mediums: Graphite, digital, acrylic (I'm learning guise. i cant actually acrylic worth shit yet), watercolor on occasion
